Computer Requirements - Recommended |
|
 |
Processing video can require larger amounts of computer
processing power and hard disk space than ordinary applications.
If you intend to use video extensively you need to choose
your computer wisely. For all products, we recommend use
on computers which meet or exceed the following specifications.
- Windows 2000 or Windows XP - Home or Professional
- Pentium 4 - 2.0 GHz processor (or equivalent)
- 256 Mbytes of RAM
- 32 Mbytes video display RAM
- Firewire (IEEE1394) port
- 30GB free hard disk space (for capturing and storing video)
|
Note: |
- For Pentimum M (Centrino) the minimum processor speed
should be 1.4 GHz. The other requirements remain the same.
- SwingerStudent, SwingerAthlete, SwingerViewer & SnapperPlayer do
not capture video and therefore do not require a firewire
port.
- For SwingerPlus, in
particular when using dual camera capture, a minimum of
512Mb RAM is recommended.
- For Windows 2000, Service Pack 4 should be installed.
For Windows XP, Service Pack 1 or 2 should be installed.
For either operating system DirectX should be updated to
be at least version 9.0. All of these updates are available
from the Microsoft website.

Cameras |
All KANDLE Webbsoft applications that support video capture
are designed to work with Mini DV cameras through the firewire
interface. Analogue cameras can also be used with an appropriate
converter.
We recommend the PANASONIC, JVC, Canon and Sony range of
Mini DV camcorders. The camcorders we can supply are delivered
as standard with a suitable carrying case and 3 mini DV tapes,
so you are ready to go.
In all cases we recommend the use of a suitable
tripod. Upon request KANDLE Webbsoft can source and supply a suitable model. |
